Cost Planning Your House

 

The following plans are indicative of the economical and flexible layouts that can be produced with a KD Timber Frame. Generally, simple rectangular buildings are the most cost effective. Interior layouts may be open plan or closed, with almost complete freedom to move walls as required. Each project is individually designed to suit the customer, to suit the site orientation and the views.

We can provide a ready built 'turnkey' house, which is a complete house with interior fit out, decorations and flooring. The prices quoted are exclusive of foundations, drainage and kitchen fittings, which are calculated separately and according to site conditions.

If you are on a tight budget, or want to get more involved, we can provide a weather proof shell, for you to complete. We can build a 'starter' package frame with roof / insulation / windows / walls / external infill panels / and first floor decking, which only requires internal fitting out and services. In this case the customer would organise for themselves the foundations and drainage, the plumbing, heating, electrics and interior fit out.

120m2 3-4 Bed Bungalow

A compact single storey plan with an 8x15m footprint. The master bedroom has an en suite shower and WC. The Office / Study room could become a fourth Bedroom.

An open plan Ground Floor makes the most of the KD frame flexibility. The building has a a 75m2 footprint. The Utility room is large enough to accommodate a heating boiler and washing machine, and incorporates a WC washbasin and shower. The main bedroom is large enough to be subdidvided to give a separate dressing room if required.
